We Sincerely Pray for Dr Tetsu Nakamura
On December 4, Dr Tetsu Nakamura died of his wounds, after being injured in an attack by unknown gunmen while he was travelling in a car in Jalalabad in the eastern border province of Nangarhar. Five Afghans were also killed in the attack.
We are deeply saddened by a terrible loss of him and his local staff members. We would like to extend our sorrow and condolences to their family and friends. May their soul rest in peace.
Dr Nakamura did not only contribute to the medical treatment including establishing a non-governmental organisation, Peace Japan Medical Services (PMS), but he had also heavily been involved in the construction and improvement of irrigation systems in villages.
His body was arrived back with his family in a home town, Fukuoka, in the morning on Dec 9.
As he spent his childhood in Koga, which our head office and factory are located, we would like to express our deepest respect for his achievement,
A Japanese rugby player, Kenki Fukuoka, was also born in Koga, and he will be aiming to study Medicine to become a doctor after his retirement as a professional player.
We will be actively committed to environmental conservation with our passion and a sense of mission to achieve something that is relevant to helping people and the society, like Dr Nakamura and Kenki Fukuoka.
