Supporting Disaster Areas Hit by Typhoon Hagibis

Typhoon Hagibis brought deadly flooding and landslides to central and eastern parts of Japan.

It was the strongest to hit the country in decades.

Many evacuated residents are still being forced to live in evacuation shelters.

As the cold winter comes, we believe that they are worried and stressed about their situation.

On November 15, we have donated ¥550,000 to the Marumori Town Council of Social Welfare in Miyagi, so that they could devote funds to remunerate volunteers for their transportation and accommodation fees.

Marumori was the most devastated town with 10 people dead and 1 missing.

Cats and dogs are also an important member of family.

¥120,000 was also donated to Nagano Help & Support Centre of Animals Victims of Disasters, which rescues animal pets in disaster areas.

GMEC will continue to support and encourage people in disaster areas for building their resilience.
